Split a PDF into separate pages

Every page of the document becomes a PDF of its own. You get them all together in a ZIP archive.

You typically need it when you receive a single file that actually contains different documents: a scanner that produced twenty invoices in one PDF, a register with one form per page, a batch of receipts to be filed separately.

The tool creates one PDF per page, numbering them in order, and gives them back to you in a ZIP archive that opens on any computer without extra software. The pages keep their original size, orientation and quality.

If what you need is a single document with a few chosen pages, use Extract pages instead: split produces many files, extract produces one.

Can I split into just two parts instead of page by page?

Not for now: this tool separates every page. To get two halves, use Extract pages twice, entering one range and then the other.

Why do I get a ZIP and not the individual PDFs?

Because a browser can't save dozens of separate files without asking for confirmation each time. The ZIP gathers them into a single download and opens with a double click on Windows and Mac.
